PKDC Company

PKDC Company is for dancers that love to dance and want to dedicate more time working on their dance technique and showcasing it in more performance opportunities in addition to recital.

PKDC Company is an invitation only program. This is because it requires more dedication than our recreational classes. Dancers who receive invitations to join PKDC Company are dancers who have danced at PK Dance Center for at least one year and show good work ethic, dedication, attendance, and a true love of dance!

If you are new to PKDC and have at least two years of dance training and are interested in joining PKDC Company, please reach out and we will arrange a placement private to see if PKDC Company is a right fit for your dancer.

Our company members work on and perform pieces that will be showcased at recital and compete in three dance competitions. Our goal is to create a creative and positive dance environment for dancers seeking a more dedicated dance class.

Company members that have had at least one year in the PKDC Company, may receive invitations to perform additional pieces such as small groups, trios, duos, and solos. These opportunities to perform company “extras” are given to dancers who have shown an interest in doing these types of dances, have good work ethic, and great attendance.

Teamwork, dedication, and a positive environment are core values for PKDC Company and are essential for a successful PKDC Company Season.

Principal Company

Principal Company is a fast-paced dance class environment that builds confident and positive dancers. In this company, dancers will have the opportunity to challenge their brains and bodies with complex choreography, while also building strong team bonds. Principal Company will perform and compete at least two pieces varying in dance styles. Principal Company meets one a week for two hours.

Requirements

  • Take Ballet

  • Jazz/Tap

  • Take at least one additional technique class

  • Conditioning

Company

Company is an opportunity for your dancer to work in a fast-paced environment. They will challenge their brains and body to learn more complex choreography, while discovering their own personal style of movement. They will form strong team bonds in a positive and uplifting environment. Company will perform and compete at lease two pieces varying in dance styles. Company meets once a week for two hours.

Requirements

  • Take BTJ Combo 2

  • Take at least one additional technique class

  • Conditioning

Mini Company

Mini Company is an opportunity for young dancers interested in dancing in a more advanced environment. They will learn more complex choreography, discover their own personal style of movement, while forming strong bonds with their teammates. Mini Company will perform and compete 1-2 pieces in varying dance styles. Mini Company meets once a week for one hour.

Requirements

  • Take Ballet, Tap, Jazz Combo 1 (Either Monday or Wednesday)
